Last night, we walked in fields of flowers,
laughing, talking, holding hands for hours.
& dreamily I stared at you
until into the morning's light, you withdrew.
Last night, you came to me thru fire and rain.
No matter what the cost, to help ease my pain.
& lovingly, you helped me to comprehend,
that though you're gone, MY life has yet to end.
Last night, your whispers reached deep into my core;
hush baby, my Treasure, cry no more.
And, sadly, I awoke to you still gone,
but happy tears came, knowing: in me you live on.
Last night...so beautiful...I dreamt of you.
My sad, worried mind allowed rendezvous.
& happily, I am awake today
knowing, yes, you're gone, but I'll be okay...

i had tears in my eyes reding the first two lines, its true that we have these dreams of people we hold close to our hearts,
this is such a beautiful poem and i hope there is more where that come from!!!!!
