on softest wings of yesterday
it came once then sailed away
the beating of the hope of hearts
whispered quick
that was its way,
it did not mind with much delay
to steal a kiss and blow goodbyes
faire soul so free; yet tell it lies
oh, love flew in;
then held at bay,
birdsong went on as before; whilst
love whimpered quietly for more
dying alone one sunny dark day
whatever came 'til
come what may.

| This is my favorite poem from the site, to date. Granted, I've only been here a few days, and I've come to expect a better-than-average quality for Internet poetry--but this piece is absolutely superb. Its consistency and flow is pure magic, and I can tell it is a magical mindset from whence your gift does emanate. There is no rambling, here, nor listless plodding through directionless verse. All is in motion, progressing ever forward, logically, yet unabashedly in a free-spirited manner. And what a great drawing to accompany your vision--very publishable, methinks. hrm, i dont really know what to say about this piece. this didnt really touch me like most of your poems do, and i just dont know if its just the topic or how you wrote it, but its not as good as some of your others ive seen, but its good nontheless. very nice,
