I love my Mom

Contributed by Aika on Wednesday, 21st July 2004 @ 06:56:30 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Childhood in poorness
Not knowing what is love
Marriage was whole silliness
Of four only one child raised

Donkeywork whole life
For few money
In cold winters, in hot summers
Never at home staying

Carried her pain on her shoulders
Unless she fell down on the ground
Never asked for help
With her hands poised

Days and nights in drunkenness
Not perceiving world
Accusation and swearwords
To everyone handing out

Spitted on your helping hand
And never admitted
anybody´s pain
her one was always the worst

Widow in the day
When my son was born
In her head merely and only
Very dark clouds lived

Betrayed you easily
when you did not expect
Helped to stand up
When you lied on earth

With her life
Played evil´s cards
Did she expect her sores
Will be healed with sun rise?

Such my Mom is, and still
I honour her and love
Such she is , and please God,
You give her judge of life or death.

Dětství v bídě,
Lásky nepoznala
Vdavky z hlouposti
Ze čtyř jen jedno dítě vychovala

Dřina otroka
Pro pár peněz
V zimě, v horku
Doma nezůstala

Bolest nesla na ramenou
Dokud na zem nepadla
Nikdy rukou napřaženou
O pomoc nežádala

Dny a noci opilství
Nevnímaje svět
Výčitky a nadávky
Bohatě všem rozdávaje

Plivala po rukou
Jež nabízely pomoc
Neuznala utrpení
Které i jiní měli

Vdovou v den
Kdy mně syn se narodil
V hlavě pouze jen
Černočerný svět žil

Podkopla ti nohy
Když nejméně to čekals

Spravedlivý soud smrti a života.

Aw, Aika, my prayers are still going out to her.
She seems like a wonderful woman and your love for her is clearly seen in the poem.
Hoping she will be well soon.

Beautiful words from a beautiful soul, to have a daughter such as you, you Mom was blessed from that very day, and will always have that sweet blessing of, the love you hold for her in this special way.

They who know and have love, are never alone or lost.

Thank you for sharing.

My dear friend Aika,
You and I shared the same kind of Mother.
Mine was very evil......never heard her say a kind thing about anyone else! But she was the only mother I had, and so I loved her and left the judging to someone much higher than me.....
And yes, we still have her in our prayers...I think sometimes it's harder to lose those Mothers that would never allow us to love them, than the other way around, because we know when they are gone......we will never get a another chance, but then how would I know? I never had a mother that loved me before.
Beautifully written Aika......with truth and soul!
Love you...sending hugs
