I was high on you right then
When sweetly, you did recommend
That I write a poem of “No Regrets”
Suggesting that I simply forget
Feeling blue over you
As if it was something I could do
I’m sure I smiled and nodded then
How could I not consider it when
The request had come from you
The very one that I would do
Absolutely anything for
So I said I’d try and little more
Many a day has passed since then
And I often think of it when
I find myself alone in thought
Since I promised, I know I ought
Try write as you suggest
But somehow I just can’t I guess
Unless…

A solid good try. I would think that would be a difficult assignment. You did very well, I think, and I commend you highly on it. Nice work.

Emotion is such are hard thing to convey on paper, yet you do it with such ease i guess somethings are left the better writers.
Another amazing piece written with such talent, for some reason when i read this i feel a slow mellow and almost sorrowful guitar in the background just winging the rhythm along or maybe thats just the music going to my head either way im in awe of this piece i really am |

Well, for something you didn't really want to do it certainly came out well anyway. I think you did great! Poetry, at least in my humble opinion, isn't always about the perfect lines, metaphors, or perfect wording. It's also emotion and you expressed your emotions very well in this one.
Very nicely styled. :-)
