You make me feel just like a child
wondering at a world where everything is new.
You make my soul fly as if on the wings of a lark,
going higher and higher until I touch the sky.
You make my heart sing as a nightingale sings,
with songs that have never been heard by man.
You make me feel safe in a world full of hate and fear,
to stay in your arms of love forever I want to be.
You make me want to go further than I have ever dreamed,
to accept your criticism without question.
You make me yearn for what I never thought I would,
I’m at your mercy to do as you please.
You take me to another place,
Where everything seems odd and yet strangely familiar.
Where pain is a thing not understood,
'mercy' a word never said.
You make me want to dive deeper and deeper, even knowing that I will drown,
to want more and more when I know I should stop.
With every word, I feel closer to you,
I should go ever onward, further and farther, deeper and deeper.
You make me feel like heaven is my goal,
like there are no bounds to knowing your touch.
I’m no longer me, I am part of you,
take me deeper,
ever so deeper,
You make me whole.
