It's tough, I know
to stand alone
especially when you don't feel
the love you receive from home.

It takes energy
from your mind
from your heart
and you can't unwind.

You feel like you're nothing,
like you're just a piece of dirt.
But they don't know,
they can't see that you're hurt.

Hurt on the inside
from all the s**t they say,
from all the s**t they make you do,
from it always having to be their way.

You can never express
the feelings in your heart.
It's tough, I know.
It's tearing me apart.

Because I stand alone....

I really enjoyed your poem-I can really relate to what it feels like to be alone (read my poem: Leaning toward goodbye) -it's tough-hang in there and keep up with writing-writing is a good way to express feelings and you are very good at this....lotsa luv.....Jess
