Lost Sister

Contributed by Am on Tuesday, 20th July 2004 @ 05:41:56 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Her older sister is her hero
Is her mentor
Is her friend

Little did she know,
The happiness
Was about to end

She came home
To tell her sister
About her junior high bore

She walked up the stairs
Turned to the left
And saw a note on the door

She read the note
And just collapsed
A piece of her was dead

Every emotion you could think of
Ran wild…..
In her head

The words stung her like a new wound
“I had to go, but I want you to know,
I love you”

She read the note over and over
But the thought raced through her mind
“This can’t be true!”

The pain in her sister’s eyes
She was too blind
To see

Was now the reason
Her sister had been
Set free

A family torn apart
Is the harsh reality she now
Needs to face

But a day without her sister
Sends all of her emotions
Into space

Her older sister WAS her hero
WAS her mentor
WAS her friend

If this poem is true I feel so sad.Your writing watered my eyes.Fights anger and hate I despise. You did a good job writing this and I hope you write more.
