The happy memories are there
Now they are too painful to remember
I don’t want to think of them
It brings me too much pain
They bring me too many tears

So many words have been written, but never said
So many emotions kept bottled up, expressed only through tears
So many dreams and wishes have been made about you

But it’s no good
None of that will ever bring you back
None of that will ever make everything okay again

Visions of you race through my mind
Makes me go through sleepless nights
You’re playing with my heart and you don’t even know it
I put on the radio and every channel, every song reminds me of you somehow

But I still can’t give you up
You’re in the past, now you are gone
I have to face that
But I will never get over you!

I need you, I love you
I would do anything for you
By me your respected and admired
Adored and loved
But that doesn’t mean anything to you
You gave it all up the day you said goodbye

So just remember that when you want back in
When you want back into my life
Back into my heart
Remember this one thing,

You gave it all up!
