I Reach For The Knife

Contributed by iluvpencils on Tuesday, 20th July 2004 @ 12:05:29 PM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

I reach for the knife
Third drawer from the bottom
Only when I need to
Don't worry
Please, don't care
Trust me this time
Let me take care
And bandage my own arms
I'll be fine
If you just leave me here to cry

As the blade is drawing closer
My mind won't settle down
Because this tear filled, frantic feeling
Just leaves me here to drown

But the pain sends shivers through me
Reminds me of my skin
Makes the tears flow a little slower
Make the blood rise a lttle faster
Make the spinning stop altogether
Remind me again
That I'm still here

Let me take care
And bandage my own arms
I'll be fine
If you just leave me here to cry
