Confusion In Death

This time of losing
Such sweet beauty
Parting oh such sorrow
To write the name
Of the one we love
Upon the granite rock
Uniform and plain
To feel a sadness
That runs like blood
Through every fiber in your being
Poison to your mind
Delirious with happy illusions
Existing only to the insane
Or is it the sane?
Who can say?
Utter confusion
And you're lost amoungst this mess
Come dance with me
Here within these trees
Let your feet glide
As rays of sun shine
Through the broken branches
Distant music awakens your senses
From an unknown source
Your heart keeps you away
Far from this place
Of true beauty
To lose
To lose
To lose
A loved one
Do my words make sense to thee?
Can you see this bitter confusion
Protecting you from bliss?

This is deeply beautiful. I would probably not have included the 2 lines Or is it the sane?
Who can say?, as it kind of throws off the rhythm a little bit. But, its still beautiful. |
