From the Heart

I know a girl, the purest friend I could hope to find
By an angel the first time we met I was blessed
You looked at me with honest eyes, dazzled with a caring smile
Now you feel pain and hurt inside, your world plunged into black

Please lean on me, take my strength as you need
As a gift I will give it, unquestioning and true
In this time of trouble where sickness walks
Friends we will not desert you, let their steps echo close

I don't profess to understand the laws and rules of fate
For your mother's pain I am sorry, I wish it all away
Though distance is between us I am reaching out my hand
My arm around your shoulders, words whispered to comfort your soul

To your family my sympathy too, be strong together stand
To your other friends please here the call, let us all unite
I know a girl who is lost and sad, who needs our love and care
My part I will play without a doubt and gladly, from the heart

I am sendind the same warm prayers I sent yesterday in someone elses poem. Please know Aika, my prayers won't end until you feel better. It is the least I can do for someone.
Remain strong! Lean on your friends. Hug your children a little tighter. Know that prayer is what will carry you.
Angel always...Joni
