Her emotional pain was too much to bare
But she didn’t feel that she could share
So she cut away her emotional pain
If she’s lucky maybe she’ll hit a vein
Late at night that’s what she does
She can’t even remember who she was
Before she become so depressed
And started keeping her feelings repressed
No one saw through her mask
No one even thought to ask
So inside is where it stayed
And that is why she used a blade
That was her way to release
A way for her to maintain her peace
The thoughts in her mind were dark
They attack her like a blood thirsty shark
Thoughts of death and thoughts of life
It makes her life a terrible strife
She thinks so often of letting go
Just cut too deep and watch the blood flow

I can't believe this poem. So many people write about dealing with their emotions that way but this one takes the cake. If the girl in the poem is in fact you, hold on and be strong, because you've yet to be proven wrong. |
