FROM AN ERNEST GLANCE
I was shivering inside.
The night seemed sweet and precious,
Earlier rain had evaporated and dried.
Chortling with joy I looked back,
Seeing her like a rose in full bloom,
Starting to empty cases and unpack.
Passion pulsed from an Ernest glance.
Blushing temptress I can call my own,
I’m glad I asked her out when I had the chance.
Like two doves in love, pain now lost.
Minds locked in tears of joy,
Footsteps trail in the permafrost.
As the night strokes the land,
With lovers sweet emotion,
Locked smiles holding hands.
