The Morning After

Contributed by emeraldeyes on Monday, 19th July 2004 @ 01:02:37 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The morning after I ruined our love
was the worse day of my life
Going against what was written above,
the morning after, I realized I am not a wife...

All because my lustful mind had taken over me
I threw all caution to the wind
Not until the morning after did I begin to see
What I had done the night before had caused my world to end

The morning after, when I saw all that I had done...
trying to remember all I did...
I hate to see what I've become...
Since the morning after, I have hid...

I feel your pain of guilt. It is very evident through these words, and I hope you can come to terms with it one day, if you haven't already.

Keep writing.
