Here I sit among my peers
Holding back all the tears.
Feeling thier eyes staring at me
Knowing they can not really see.
I hide behind a mask of joy
But deep inside I know it's only a ploy.
To hide the pain inside of my heart
Keep it protected so it dosen't get torn apart.
When I walk down the street
I keep my eyes casted at my feet.
Never looking anyone in the eyes
Not wanting to know all thier lies.
Nobody can be trusted with my soul
No one but me can keep it whole.
The only true love there is in this world, today
Is the one you find inside of yourself, at least that is what I say.
