Thank You for Nothing, Thank You for Everything

Contributed by drummerchic18 on Saturday, 17th July 2004 @ 11:00:51 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

You left me lying all alone
you stripped me of my heart and my soul
why did you leave at such a tender moment
when i needed you the most
you left abruptly without even saying goodbye
I thought you were my best friend
I thought you were the one I could run to
You did everything in spite of the friendship I thought held us so tied
Now everything we had, I realize is a lie
How could you leave me with nothing else to stand upon?
You knew you were the one I leaned on.

I told you everything about me
and yet you still had the heart to turn away and leave
was I that invisible?
Maybe I am just not good enough for you, or so it seems
I thought you truly cared
I thought you were always gonna be there
Yet when I needed you the most, you told me we weren't that close

This rollercoaster ride is getting old.
You left me bleedin on the floor
wonderin and contimplating
my suicide...whether I should live or die
How is it when you left I felt alive
and at the same moment I wanted to end my life

my tears met your hands many times
and my fears clung to your embrace
you never let me go when my heart was laying out infront of me
until this very moment when you laid my slit heart in front of my slit wrist
Are you mocking me?
Are you laughing at everything that made me cry?
I would love to see what was really running through your mind
when you held me through the night as my tears poured out from my reddened eyes.

I still comtemplate whether you were genuine from the start
Or whether you were planning from the beginning to destroy my heart.
How will I be able to open up to anyone again
because if I ever let anyone in, your face will appear
And I would be tempted to force the friendship to end

But I will not let you control me or my mind
I cannot live my life based on what you did
You were a liar and a cheat
and I know I'm worth more than what you gave to me
I will move on to another way of life
one that does not consist of your words or dreams
Thank you for nothing, thank you for everything
Whether I love you or hate you, I cannot decide
All I know is I will no longer l

I hope this is not from personal experence.
I hate that people go through such things.
If it is,don't let this experieance ruin the relationship with the right guy.
bythe way,if you are a drummer, check out Dream theater.Mike portney palys for them and is a excellent drummer.Actually, they are all great musicians.:)
