When I am sad I cry.
When I am stressed, I cry.
When I am hurt, I cry.
I cry, “I wanna go home”
And I’m sitting in the living room.
When I relax, I read.
When I relax, I sleep.
When I relax, I breathe.
I relax, but I say, “I wanna go home”
And I’m sitting in the back yard.
When I read I sit outside.
When I read I sit in the living room.
When I read I sit in the dining room.
I read and I think, “I wanna go home”
And I’m sitting right there in my house.
When I smile, I’m with friends.
When I smile, I laugh.
When I smile, I am happy.
I get tired and I say, “I wanna go home”
And when I get to my house… I’m not there.
When I talk on the phone, I sit in the kitchen.
When I talk on the phone, I sit outside.
When I talk on the phone, I sit in the living room.
I talk and I think, “I wanna go home”
And I’m there but it doesn’t feel right.
When I’m really sad I sob.
When I’m really sad I want to be alone.
When I’m really sad I want to hide.
I say, “I wanna go home”
And I’m looking out of the big window in my house.

Your poem reminds me of that one saying. "A house is made of brick and stone, but a home is made of love alone." Great poem, portraying a message without actually spelling it out. Nice technique. |

what a sad poem... I liked the repetition thing you had going down in this though. Does the whole go home thing u mean u want to kill yerself and go to Heaven? Because if so... I can relate totally.

Aww Chelsea. I'm so sorry you feel this way. I don't know exactly what you meant by "home" because it could be interpreted in many different ways. But sometimes I don't feel right either. I'm moving soon to Arkansas, and I don't want to go. It's not my home, and it never really will be. But I think it might be a good thing for me to leave this town, I just want to start from scratch again and leave all the painful memories behind. I'll bring the good ones with me though : ) I really hope you find home eventually, even if it's not a home here on earth.
Blessings
Love, Jenna |

This is gripping. I think I understand what you're talking about. Take care now, Chelsea.
Oh, and nice technique!

I know this feeling. You get there, but it still doesn't seem right. I think it's a symptom of wanting to go home to be with the Lord. I think it affects many Christians once we discover the location of our only true home. As you grow and accept and trust more, I think it will subside.
Praying for you.
