Fears

Contributed by lifefliesby on Saturday, 17th July 2004 @ 02:17:58 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

This pain in me
It burns like fire
Sacalding heat
As I grow tired
I drop to a knee
As I jerk my head
The pain in seeks
Is how it's lead
It hurts and burns
Down to my soul
Just as hot
As burning coal
It tears at me
And I fall apart
At the end o' the bed
Sits the unstable chart
I know it's coming
And nearly here
For this is all
My greatest fear

This poem makes me believe the greatest fear is some sort of illness or death. Especially the "unstable chart" at the end of the bed. Remins me of a hospital bed.
It's a great poem because you have to think about it, lots of depth. I sincerely hope everything works out for you.

Now, I know you really well and I'm having trouble with this one's meaning.
This is a really good poem, it's full of symbols and passion.
...
but I think we need to talk.
Love always,

Chelsea

Unless you are really talked about a hospital bed as someone suggested, the unstable chart line, that kind of feels like a forced rhyme to me. I'm sure your forehead could think of a substitue.

Yes, quite full of passion and emotion. I like the short, choppy lines.
