Cascading realms of aristocracy,
Greed and filth fill the world,
Individuality is fading away
Sad.
Great lands of poverty,
Hunger and death are present,
Caring is fading away
Sad.
Groups of control and power,
Some have no say in anything,
Humanity is fading away
Sad.
Terrorism, war, and hate,
Fallacious acts of pride,
Peace is something, never to be.
Sad.

Sad as it is, you've portrayed a lot of truth about today's world in here. It's slightly depressive, just the way I like. Congrats on this heartfelt piece. |

Sad, yes - when you're looking at the whole. I choose to look instead to the individual rather than the collective and without exception... find something quite a bit less depressing. My thinking is... separately we're all rather fabulous in our own way - it's only when you put us all together that we really get screwed up.
A great, thought provoking piece. Well done!

I look at it the same way as you, but it was meant to be portrayed as a "whole" as you referred to it as :) Thanks for the comment. |
