Your Love is Like the Colors of the Rainbow

Your love is like the colors of the rainbow,
a color for something different.
Red, when I am hurt,
and when blood is shed,
you take care of me.
Orange, when it is dark
and thundering and lightning out,
you are like the sun.
Yellow, for how you light up my life.
Green, when you give me fresh picked flowers,
with their moist green stems,
it shows me you really care.
Indigo, when we get caught in the rain,
you shield me,
and you are like the indigo sky.
Blue, for when I am blue,
you lift my spirits.
Violet, when you hold me, and care for me,
you are like violet flowers, so gentle.
So you see,
your love is like the colors of the rainbow,
so beautiful, yet so loving.
