The Man of My Dreams

Thinking of the man in my dreams,
I want to hold him so bad I could scream
He says I am his angel and he loves me
I wish that together we would always be
I will love him forever
He is my lover, my friend, and my guide.
His love is like an arrow right in my heart
It hurts so much whenever we are apart
We should be together at night when we close our eyes
Instead, He leaves me to go to bed alone, and my heart cries
I want him here by my side
I just want to have him to hold
During the night when I am scared or cold
I want to forever feel his loving arms around me
Until then my heart will be lost in the sea
He is the only one who can rescue me and take the tears away.
I love how we would walk by the ocean hand-in-hand.
We’ll throw down a blanket and hold each other in the sand.
The only sound we would hear is our hearts beating as one.
I would be his, and he would be mine, right there, under the sun.
When I hold him, I will never let go.
This man in my dreams is you.
Each day will be something more and something new.
I want to show you what's deep in my heart and my soul.
Loving you is like nothing I thought I would ever know.
Now, I know, and I do not want to lose or let go.
You are my lover, my friend, and my guide.
These are feelings I’ll never hold deep inside.
So, in three simple words from my heart,
I love you and have from the very start…
