The Black Pool

Contributed by ArdRi79 on Friday, 16th July 2004 @ 12:43:14 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The rain pours down
From a dark sky,
onto the buttress of the black pool

It's surface seeming to fizz and shimmer
as I watch from beneath,
peerig up through its murky depths

Not for the first time
since I plunged in,
And its cold waters closed over me

Even so I am blinded
by a ray of sunlight
that falling from the clouds pierces my wintry tomb,
And I move towards it And I name it hope.

Woww!
this write is a masterpeice of hope for all that deal with the same.
I take meds that help me but I know before I was eternally depressed. U've captured your subject well.
Your Dr. sure can help with meds. It gives one much more hope to get thru the tangled web we live on called planet Earth.
Keep writing as u probably know it's a great healer.
luv, huggs,
emy

Depression is a sad thing and so many people today are being faced with it. I am glad you found something to give you hope some don't and that's when it turns scarry. `Day`

excellent I to struggle with depression quite a bit and I am glad that you are still able to see hope despite the oppressive quilt it often lays down. Keep up the writing.

I don't see this as depressing, or someone who is so down and depressed because the way you wrote makes you sound so resolute, full of conviction, the very spirit of a fighter who will survive.

A great poem should be thought provoking and you have most definitely achieved that with this work. Absolutely wonderful!
