Across the seas and sands of time
My soul called out to you
Two similar spirits, both battered and worn
Awaiting happiness , long overdue.
Chartering the waves, crossing the dunes
Your love once beaconed to me
So many obsticals, an upward climb
A reality not meant to be.
We weathered the cold, withstood the heat
Where did it start to fail
Both sides wondering what went astray
What made love go stale?
Drowning in an ocean, burried in the sand
Everything went so wrong
I realize now that I never held your heart
To you alone, it has always belonged.

Hi Tanna,
This is one hell of a write ( am I allowed to say that?) A wonderful flow that carried me on a journey, sad but enlightening.
Thanks for this |
