selfstruggles

Peaceful little girl.
Happy little child.
Cruelty planted the seed
of depression.
The seed grew to
consume the girl,
causing a depressive plague.
She shattered inside,
forgetting all the hopeful dreams.
The sadness filled the
wide abyss
and corrupted her cheerful soul.
She strove and struggled,
but she wasn't cut out for
doom and gloom,
and so she snapped,
and tried to leave this horrible world.
People tried to force their hands,
forced her to seek help.
She's doing quite fine now,
the depression is at bay.
But the sadness was a part of her,
now she's only half.
She's completely empty on the inside,
for the happiness isn't as large as
self destruction.
She indulges now in then,
allowing the depression,
but she knows it's wrong.
So she locks up all those feelings,
and sticks with
all the happiness which makes everybody but her
happy.
