Quiet moments
My mind spent in search of
Combing a composer's room
In my head
I fear the words will enter
As I leave
Or vice versa.
You sit in my memories
And the thoughts I spread
Into a future
Of those you will create
You visit me in my deep sleep
And dream with me until I wake
Early mornings lost to
And in the gaze of you
I hope to find myself
But I am weaker than you know
Still, relentless in my pursuit
To secure the strength to share
These thoughts
And all the while, my silent voice,
I ponder on.
For neither a mouth dry
Nor paper and pen
Can conjure the means
Not for lack of trying
But more that
You defy words in me,
Too beautiful to describe
So I lie in wait
These quiet moments
And stir not
For you enter my world
As the sadness in me leaves
And I will try
Into the time it takes
To tell of that
And thank you for it.
