Ascend the ladder once again
Spectators watch you prepare
Close your eyes; let a calming breath in
Menacing cord stretched though air
Remember this walk you’ve taken before
Never reaching safety
Faltering, falling, wind, scream, floor
Audience laughs at your frailty
Encouraging smile waits across the rope
To greet your crossing’s end
Release your hold, step out and hope
You’ll live to fall again.

This is a great poem but not exactly my view of how it works. Your idea is very good and positive. |
