I just want to touch you,
I see you out there
What you have meant to me,
Is all I want to share
Someday I’ll do something,
This is all I pray
The way that you touch me,
I’ll touch someone that way
Your words leave me restless,
Though I’ve never met you
In the worst of my times,
They can help me get through
I listen to you sing,
Just laying there sometimes
If only they could see,
The wisdom of your rhyme
I think that then...
The world could be a better place
People could finally show...
Their God intended face
With your voice and your words,
I think you are His vessel
Creative, meant to help us,
When life gets much too stressful
Now, Unknown, I thank you,
Through my sleepless nights
Your words helped me think things through,
And rearrange my sights
