Dead Man Walking

Contributed by ravenshadows on Thursday, 15th July 2004 @ 01:52:59 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Worthless
Bound by the chains of humanity
To remain in this world
Suffering
The rotted flesh of my being
Stench pungently aromatizing
The halls of my soul
Searching
That god of yesterday
Filling my head with lies and hopes
Asking, leading
My innocent soul to dream of what is to come
Promising salvation, eternal life
But instead
Let the arms of death entwine
Constantly reminding all of its power
Snatching the very life force which courses through your veins
Who is your master now
As you look
Searching the faceless names and dates
Imbedded so coldly
In all those rows of stone
There is no life here in this place
Just myself
A dead man walking

Crazy good imagry and imagination. The rotted flesh aromatizing the halls of my soul...wow thats a pretty picture right there lol. I get a vague idea on the meaning behind this but I won't say what I think it is because I'm usually compleatly wrong but I like it. Thanks for reviewing Sheeps and Sleeps.
