|
My heart is weakened,
Yet my relationships strengthened.
My spirit is broken,
Yet my God stands firm.
He is my rock
And I will hold fast to him,
Through the wind,
Through the rain
And never let go.
The thunder rolls in the distance,
The waves crash on the shore ahead.
But with my God
I can overcome that.
And I already have.

Oh AMEN! I have been there the last few weeks as well. You have done a fantastic job of describing how our faith in Him deepens and love for Him grows during the most difficult times. BRAVO!

Hooray, it's an inspirational poem! Was getting a bit tired of all the suicidal poetry out there. Sorry for taking so long to check out your stuff but I'm glad I finally did. I loved the final 2 lines:
"I can overcome that.
And I already have."
Seems to suggest to me how you may think your life is heading down a rotten path but really God has been guiding you all along - the whole idea of not realising the true extent of one's inner strength. Very nice. |
