You know each grain of sand
and every star up in the sky
You know each heart with in each man
You understand his reasons why
You know the heart within my chest
You know how much I've given up
and yet your call comes with out rest
It says if you will be my son
"Cast you heart upon the stone
If it casts you shall be crushed
Come to me with in your life
Time is passing you must rush
The hour of the "Son of man"
has come into the land you live
Hear my voice and answer now
and life abundantly I'll give"
Each time I sin I can not face
The one who continues to give me grace
My head is bowed low unto the ground
You lift me up and with love surround
Each step I take you walk with me
Your love never forsakens me
Your word keeps calling with out rest
and shows me how I am bereft
"Cast your heart upon the stone

The hour of the "Son of man"
has come into the land you live
Herar my voice and answer now

Matthew 21:44 (NIV) "He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls shall be crushed.

Well Archie, I must admit I liked both of these poems you wrote. Although mentioning the Lord sadly gets few reads, I like the soul that you put into these poems and hope you continue writing the good word.
