I know that you don't know me
but maybe I would feel less lonely
I don't presume for you to like me
and I ask of you politely
won't you spend some time with me
you might take a shine to me
won't you come and dance with me
discover the romance in me
all my friends are leaving me
can't you see the need in me
I know I'm not your problem
how I wish I was one of them
won't you come and dance with me
underneath the wishing tree
won't you take me home with you
I'd like to know you need me too
I'm empty and I'm cold inside
I need someone to hold tonight
I know that I've just met you
I wonder if your heart would let you
won't you take me home with you
I need to be alone with you.

Interesting but sad poem of loneliness so deep that anyone would do.
