Dynamite

Contributed by pixie on Wednesday, 14th July 2004 @ 09:36:14 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I am like a stick of dynamite,
Light my fuse and my temper ignites,
I have to say my fuse is not very long,
You will know when you’ve done me wrong.

Anger pumps around my veins,
Stops my feeling any of my pains,
Sometimes I find it impossible to control,
It consumes me and swallows me whole.

My blood comes to the boil with such ease,
My trigger goes off with the slightest squeeze,
I am just like a loaded gun,
In adrenalin I find my fun.

Like a volcano ready to erupt,
Filled with anger my feelings are corrupt,
I look like a butterfly but sting like a bee,
This rage has long become a part of me.

A ticking time bomb ready to go,
A big explosion ready to blow,
To have a temper is such a burden,
Who controls who I am not certain?

Everyone has temper problems sometimes. You've expressed yours very nicely.

I certainly hope you can find help. Inability to control your anger can destroy everything around you.

Gosh, I'm familiar with this scenario. My father, son, and husband have all had this problem. You are taking the right steps. Keep writing, too. It makes a big difference. I'll be praying for you. Keep me up to date.

Like Stitch, I'm a woman (/girl) of prayer as well. I can only wish you the best.
I also encourage that you continue to write about it. It seems to be helpful and you're SO good at it.
Lots of love and peace be with you,

Chelsea
