LOVE IS BLIND

"LOVE IS BLIND"

This precious little fawn was found all alone.
So weak she could barely move, under a porch unknown
Lovable Hogan shares his bed with her lovingly.
Never leaves her, watching over her very carefully!

Difference in kind with animals in need, rarely matters.
Hogan senses this dear little fawn belongs to critters.
So, she's not a dog? Hogan cares less, she needs comforting.
He can feel her weakness, she's scared, she is ailing.

When she stirs, Hogan nudges her to help her feel secure.
He knows she is terribly hurt over the loss of her mother.
Animals don't talk.......they just feel and sense amour.
Hogan is telling her that everything is going to be all right,
he will be her protector.

The wee fawn is convinced from his loving kind kiss.
Being fed with a bottle, she once again falls fast asleep.
Hogan realizes she needs to feel his presence, he never moves,
he knows it's him she will miss!
With critters, love is blind, and not just "skin-deep!"

Patiently waiting with love in his heart shining through
his big brown eyes.
Hogan has promised to stay by her side, and animals
don't tell lies.
She also can sense he is near, there is nothing to fear.....
Who Hogan is to her is unclear, she just feels his love so dear.

This beautiful little creature will soon be given away.
She's being given to friends that have rescued fawns before,
but Hogan wants her to stay!
Hogan is really going to miss her when she disappears......
He loved her with all his big doggy heart, and no
doubt will shed many tears.

My thoughts:
"If all of mankind could be like Hogan,
truly blind to differences, and feel nothing
but love in their hearts for their kind.
There would never again be any more wars,
nor young men buried before their time!"

"Hopeful Smiles!"

Isn't she absolutely beautiful! Hogan is a great heart. Animals do sense need. My dog raised a kitten and they are inseparable now. Puppy cat thinks she is a dog. Hogan will definitely miss her. Bless his beautiful heart.

Excellent Connie,
Rita

Awww..... this is so beautiful! I wish humans could take a lesson from the critter kingdom!
Ol' Hogan gets a big hug from me! He is one beautiful dog. With a heart spun from gold.
Well we know where he get's THAT from! :-)
Well consue, you did it again. Had my heart melting. I sure hope hogan gets over the withdrawl of lil' fawn. She will miss her "momma", as he will miss her. Such a sad tale but happy at the same time!
((((((((((consue))))))))) Big hugs! Thanks for the smile!
Angel always...joni 0:-)

Is lovingcritter be your internet handle then loving indeed is in your gentle nature... only a pet treated with love would exudes such a compassionate behaviour...so I guess you must be a loving person. Such a great story to share with us...in all it's cuteness and it's real life implications.... I only wish that Hogan has more companions in his general love and all encompassing countenance...but lo! the world is bereft and without such gentle tenure. But all in all a great an inspirational write as always... I wonder anew how you keep so upbeat... where as I the junior voyager has only weariness for life and everything else...in this..our great journey. Bon chance !
