Cry and you Cry Alone

Contributed by norm on Wednesday, 14th July 2004 @ 07:36:10 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

There's just no reason that I see
To stay at home and cry,
And count your troubles by the score
and wish that you would die.

Put on a face that's new and fresh
and come with me to play,
We'll hop a cab and go downtown,
where all the actions lay.

We'll hit the square and see a show,
Pick up a guy in serge,
and dance the night from then til five
and watch the dawn immerge.

Then, home you go, with joy in tow,
Forget your crying ways,
And aim your sight for better nights
and better happy days

Dear Norm, this sounds like so much fun
just let me know when you've begun
I love to dance and fritter the night,
though in the morn I am an awful sight

Oh how I loved this poem.
If you and Stitch don't mind, may I come along?
I used to dance all night and then hurry home
shower, dress.......and off to work I'd go. Never even felt the lack of sleep! Ahhhhhhto be young again you see!
But young or old.....we had so much fun in those so-called olden days......we truly did have happy ways!
Wonderful Norm
Love,
consue

Awww Norm. I could use a buddy like you to take me out and help me forget my troubles once in a while.
Eventually...eventually...
This is a really cool poem. I think it's neat because the whole poem gives off an upbeat, outgoing and carefree aura. Somehow the words you chose just seem to fit the mindframe.
Lots of love and peace be with you,

Chelsea
