CAPTURED LEAF WITHIN MY HAND

I Looked at the Sky today
And saw a Rainbow in the distance
Out beyond the long Green Bay
Where seagulls made dance
Over out there, way beyond
The waves of sence resistance
I watched the prism Rainbow fade
And turn into Monolith jade
(Dark Green clouds of a storm)
The wind blew a leaf from it's branch
I reached out, while it made its dance
And with my hand "captured it"

Colourful and picturesque. Quite a moment, you captured, too.
Well done. Keep writing. |

This is the one that slipped by me today! :-(
I'm glad I came back to read it. You "captured" the moment, and the leaf in your hand!
Well done!

As though time stood still for you, permitting you to analyze the beauty in all of life's little moments.I especially love your poetry, for I can always find myself in that moment too and capture,if only for a moment, part of what you capture as well, and this one connected straight to my heart.
