everything happens for a reason

Everything happens for a reason
that's what I've been told
then why did she die
without the chance to grow old

Everything happens for a reason
that's what I've been told
then why did their love end
a broken families too hard to hold

Everything happens for a reason
that's what I've been told
then why can't I be me
closed minds can be so cold

Everything happens for a reason
I don't believe it's true
I feel the pain but find no reasons
for me this is my proof

*gets lost in the tangles of her mind*
*finds her way out after ages of untangling herself*

yes, well, I can easily relate to this, and I'm sure many others can as well..
Though I do agree with you-I don't believe everything happens for a reason either, unless, in many instances, the reason is just to make you feel miserable and hurt inside for years and years...
Cuz other than that I don't find many other good reasons.
But then again, i get told, every action has a reaction, which I suppose follows on from the previous proverb. Some people tell me that, say something tragic happens, like your best friend dies because he was drink-driving, well, you become more aware of the dangers associated, and learn to make your decisions more carefully.
So I supppose in a way I support the proverb "everything happens for a reason", but in another way, I don't.
Okay I've said enough now lol...I'm probably filling up a whole ton of space just by my rambling hehe.....

But remember, if you ever need anyone to talk to, I'll always be here...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
