I’ll always know that I’ll – never be the one with the brains, so I might as well not complain I can only concentrate on the things I can do. I know I can’t do much but what I can I’m the best out of everyone.
I don’t need you to tell me that I am stupid. I won’t stand for it. You saying I might as well give up. Cause I won’t get nowhere. Oh I don’t need you to tell me what I will and will not be.
I know some of the things you say because you think you know me. But I’m telling you right now you know nothing at all. I’m not as stupid as you may think and anything I want to do (you might not think so) but I know I can.
I don’t need you to tell me that I will get nowhere. I don’t need you to say that I should forget my dream. It’s you who’s standing in the way of anything that I want to do. So don’t you tell me to go home.
Hey hey!! I can do anything, if I want to. I could touch the sky if I tried. You’re the one that doesn’t believe so why don’t you just leave? It’s my life. Not yours. So stop controlling what I do. I’m old enough now, that I know what I can do! I know what I can be! So stop telling me I will never succeed.
I don’t need you to tell me that I will get nowhere. I don’t need you to say that I should forget my dream. It’s you who’s standing in the way of anything that I want to do. So don’t you tell me to go home.

I can relate to this poem also. Iv been told that ill never make it. when i told my parents what my dreams are. Then i think that i will.. But you made me think of something i never thought of before,.
"You’re the one that doesn’t believe "
I just thought my parents said that because,. they just thought i couldnt do it. no chances cause no one else can do it. i wanted to be an actress.. "your never make it, hardly anyone does, your end up on the streets" i wanna be a singer " your never make it" I wanna be a laywer " your never make it.. its hard and you have to have alot of school." because im shy they think i cant? They dont know what im capable of. They dont even know or accept me. I love this one. great write.
