Am I More Than a Memory?

Contributed by TeenageEmoGirl on Tuesday, 13th July 2004 @ 07:06:20 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

The alarm begins to ring
I barely tasted sleep last night
I wish I could just forget
Or play make myself believed you cared.
I just don't know what to think
But deep down, I'm so alone and scared
It's not that I think we moved too fast
Or that you took advantage of me
Because you didn't, everything was amazing.
It felt so special to me, but was it?
It's not that I regret a thing
I'm just sitting here contemplating
What you could possibly be thinking of
When I was even considering love
Did you even have a second thought of me once you left?
I devote my days to you
And my dreams to the same
I just have all this guilt inside
And I put myself to blame
I keep trying to tell myself, I'm not a whore
That our lust was something more
I can't think of how to say
I'm just not that type of girl
That emotionless image was just a ficade
And I was masquerading
I care and I'll wait, if you think there's a chance
That I could be more than just one night
Than just one dance,
or your biggest mistake
just a brush on your canvas.

This is a sad but true poem. Often to many times we get hurt *thinking* they love us.
Good luck in finding out the truth!
Nice write!
Angel always...joni
