My Loss

Contributed by EvaRee on Tuesday, 13th July 2004 @ 06:57:56 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I knew you were there
I could tell in my heart
I was so happy
for another life to start.
I was so excited
to go through 9 months
impatiently anticapting
our first touch.
I know you would have
been perfect in every way
but no longer am I happy
or waiting for that day.
I've lost you to something
I cant understand
but I wanted to meet you
I wanted to hold your hand.
You weren't even born
but I feel such a loss
I was ready to have you
no matter what the cost.
I wonder what you
would have been like
no matter what it would have
been love at first sight.
I guess I just dont understand
why I had to loose you
it breaks my heart everyday
wishing there was something I could do.
To bring you back
to hold you once
to feel your heart beat
just for once.
I ignored everyone
when they said no
when they said having an abortion
was the right way to go.
well, i decided to do
what i thought was right
I was going to keep you
I was going to fight.
I didn't need anyone
to tell me what to do
it just wasn't right
I was going to have you.
Someone had other plans though
I guess He thought it was wrong
but now that he took you
how exactly do I go on?
I wish I could've held you
I needed you so much
now I'm stuck here longing for
the time we never touched......

In memory of the baby that i lost

I know how you're feeling. I just lost a baby in April. I was 7 months pregnant. So I do know how you feel. At a loss and thinking no one understands. She was my second stillborn. I have two poems myself..."The Angels Called"and " I Shed A Tear". Please read them if you think it might help. If you need to talk, PM me, I'd be glad to listen. My prayers are with you as our angels watch over us!!!~Angel always...godspeed...Joni~
