Through my heart i speak my words to you
If a gun was shot i'd take the bullet for you
If a knife was pulled, i'd let it cut me instead
So that you my love, wouldn't end up dead
‡
If someone's fist was lifted at you
I'd take the first hit, so it wouldnt hit you
If i could give you a rainbow in a glass
I would do it for you, and never take it back
‡
If i could take your pain upon my soul
I'd keep it there, and never let it go
If i could give you a necklace for your neck
I'd give it to you, with a kiss when we met
‡
If you ever were dying sick in a bed
I'd trade my soul with you, so you wouldnt be dead
For true love i'd do whatever it takes
That's what true love does, For soul mates
‡
If you had no legs and you couldnt walk
I'd take care of you and i'd never stop
If you had no arms to hold me with
I wouldnt care, it's with you i'd sit
‡
If you wanted to live in an alley full of trash
I'd live there with you, our love would last
If i could give you parents that you could see
I'd do it for you, they'd never be mean
‡
If you had aids and were dying from pain
I'd make love to you, so we'd be the same
If you couldnt see my face, if you were blind
I'd help you walk, and lead you through time
‡
If you wanted us to die together
I'd do it with you, it would be forever
If you wanted my heart in your hands to feel
I'd let you take it from my chest, before you i'd kneel
‡
You knew my love would have done anything
But you threw me away, over simple things
I love you so much i've done as you asked
I"ve gone away, now i wear my mask

hey i tell you what ....this is a great poem and i love the flow .....thanks for sharing this man.....it is really good stuffff....
p.s i have been to other poetry sights and this place the people dont leave very many comments...why is that?????
any way is there a place on this sight for suggestions????

If you would do anything for love, how come the "simple things" couldn't be done ?

This shows that all of lifes trials
and hardships that come along
in true love no matter what they are
will be made simple just by the love
alone itself.

Hello OreO,
I can relate to this one. I've been down that road before! Where my ex-girlfriend didn't know what she had... I mean I would do anything for her, all she had to do was name it and it would be done. I still love her but we could never get along so, now I wear a mask!
