Empty Room

Contributed by Alyshia on Tuesday, 13th July 2004 @ 07:51:24 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Walk into an empty room
Filled with hate, impending doom
Step on broken, shattered glass
That holds a tattered photograph
I can't escape your memory
It feels like you're still here with me
I wish that I could find a way
To make your memory fade away
I try to leave this empty room
Filled with paranoia, gloom
The door is locked, I can't get out
I kick the wall, I scream and shout
I beat my head off of the wall
I wish I wasn't here at all
I throw away my history
But still I have my misery
Finally escape and walk away
But tomorrow is another day

This was a brilliant poem up to the last 2 lines. These 2 lines throw off the poems rhythym otherwise this poem is great.
