Terribly, tragically, horribly wrong
She’s been mistaken all along
Shouting into an echo chamber
Foolishly thinking that you’d save her
She’s throwing herself against a wall
Just won’t stop, ‘tho bruised and all
Pathetically, hopelessly, completely mad
She’s living in dreams that she once had
Thinking things that make no sense
She waits for yesterday to commence
She’s walking alone amidst the crowd
A mute she is, telling secrets aloud
Desperately, longingly, carrying on
She’s listening repeatedly to your song
Obnoxiously thinking that it’s alright
That she cries herself to sleep at night
She’s stealing moments of your time
And stuffing them, maybe, into a rhyme
Anxiously, fretfully, exceedingly crazed
She writes a new life into her day
Thinking, incredibly, that it might work
Her smile contorts to twisted smirk
As she writes away the you of this world

Great write. Not sure if I understood it correctly but is it about someone who has had a life of abuse and deals with it by living in their dreams fooling themself by making everything seem alright? (I'm probably completely wrong). |

Powerful write. The weaving of the anguish, and the dream sublime is remarkable as well as effective. I've re-read it three times already and I still find more meat on this bone i've yet to digest. Thank you. R&R
I read your re;re; to my re; and I missed this site very much. Other aspects of my life worked against my being here. It wasn't my choice. r&r |

self delusions?
no matter how honest we are with others, we can still lie to ourselves. sometimes aware, sometimes unaware. We can only hope if someone shows us the truth, we use that information wisely. |

And again...I feel I can relate to the thoughts in your poem, yet I definitely cannot express it such a unique or extraordinary way. |
