Hiding In Myself

Contributed by blueheart on Monday, 12th July 2004 @ 08:57:05 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Tainted humans fuel my fear,
Reclusive void drawing near,
Plunged into this emotional carousel,
Leaving society, now hiding in myself.

Assaulted by yells, fallen through cracks,
Clutched kindness yet it somehow attacks,
Trusted others but heart strings they sell,
Why would I need anyone else?

Jostling hands leave you in the ground,
Riding high, then 'friends' are found,
Deliberately secured in the blanket of me,
Guarding myself with invisibility.

Solitude is splendid, I dwell in peace,
Losing their presence leaves me released,
Intoverted so my heart won't cry,
Hiding in myself to keep alive.

Great expression indeed of the struggle within one's self. June

Hanna........this is marvelous!
There's nothing wrong with your attitude, saves you from many a plight. I've been know to take the very same flight!
Our souls can take so much torture......then it's time to do something drastic. Sometimes I hide in a big balloon of plastic! I can see out but no one else see in!
You are wise beyond your years, Hanna......hang in there, but continue to be wise.....don't let them hurt you anymore, hiding is where you protection lies!
Wonderful wordology! Great Poem....Great Wisdom too!
Poetic hugs
I love you
consue
