Nothing

Contributed by xxbreathlessx on Monday, 12th July 2004 @ 08:36:54 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Nothing

I`m nothing of how I want
To be.
Not even the tears that
Cascade down my cheeks
Are free.
They are Prisoners…of me.
Nothing that’s I`d dream
That I would be,
When I was younger
And blinded by dreams.
Nothing of beauty,
Nothing of accomplishment,
Nothing of ambition.
Nothing.
….aren`t I just a mission?
Please send me an escape route,
To escape the nightmare
That haunts me,
The nightmare addicted to me.
That craves my pain,
Licking at every drop of happiness
I have.
Make me new.
Make me whole.
Make me far from nothing,
In this place of escape.
Where I can dance in a translucent
Sky.
That rains tears of
Joy.
Make me different.

Make me happy with myself.
