We're so Different

Contributed by _Raspberry_ on Monday, 12th July 2004 @ 03:32:51 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Why can't I get rid of you?
All of the things you put me through

Depressed by your selfish motives
Your ways of friendship leave me hopeless

You know your guilt trips and your tears
Are the only things that keep me here

You think that you’re inside my head
That you can call me your best friend

Well, ‘friend’ you don’t know me
The worst of this life is all that you show me

And so now my ‘friend’ I say goodbye
Your only bringing me down in life

I don’t care how they upset you today
How they made you angry in this brand new way

We are as different as you say we are
But for none of the reasons you’ve listed so far

I don’t care what music you like, or the books you hate to read
It’s just in how you treat everyone and everything

Your only happy when your mad
So sit alone and sulk, this time I won’t feel bad…

Just a footnote:
I think that differences are the spice of life.
I am just of the belief that you should treat everyone as well as possible, and that no one is below you...This is one person who does not at all believe that, at least she doesn't act like it.

I definately feel what you're saying in this one! I had a friend like that and all she did was bring me down more than i already was and she was always jealous of everything and i couldn't stand her anymore and now we're through. Nice job you'll eventually find a new best friend who's worth your time!

Wow, your friend is exactly like what i was. If I didn't know better i'd say you real name is Jackie which doesn't matter because she hates me anyways.

...there are friends and there are aquaintences in life who we sometimes think are friends but are only only in our lives to see what they can get from us, use us as a compliant board ect; true friends stick together no matter what, no matter the differences of thoughts, ideas or opinion; real friendship has a flow about it; this is what you need to decide, is this someone you see knowing down the road years from now? hugs n' love nessa
