An unfinished letter
on your writing desk,
put off for five minutes
a week ago...
The visit you said
you would make yesterday,
put off till tomorrow
if possible...
The friend that you said
you would never let down,
and always be there for
wonder how shes getting on...
The promises you make
but never manage to keep,
will come back to haunt you
in the kingdom of sleep.
Never put off until tomorrow,
because sometimes
tomorrow never comes....
