Living for Lies

Contributed by essentially9 on Monday, 12th July 2004 @ 01:08:11 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Living for Lies

I might be a failure in life
But at least I still try
In spite of every time
The failure kills me inside
I might be a failure in life
But I'd rather fail than die
Failures are worth life

I might want to die
But I'll live instead
I don't let life dictate to me
To control what I'll be
Another failure in life
That died because of strife
I'll never be the one
To die like that
I won't kill myself
Hoping for something better
I won't kill myself
Because I couldn't handle it
Nothing was promised to us
In this life or the afterlife
Lies to make you live for it
I'm not living for lies
I'm living for life

I might be someone else
Another face in the crowd
I might be someone you know
That hides behind themselves
You'll never know
There are too many of me to tell
The failures make us one

Life can't dictate to me
Who I'll be
Death can't dictate to me
When I'll fade
I won't let another thing
Dictate to me
Who I am to be
This is my life to live
I'm not living for lies
I'm living for life

Very inspiring! I've actually never thought of it that way, then again, I don't think of it often anyway but... That was amazing! I totally get it! Keep writing and I'll keep reading!

I used to want to die so bad, but I just realized that living can be a pleasure if you want it to be.

I'm glad you've decided to persevere through all the crap and finally try to make it to a place above the clouds into the sunshine. ^_^
