I haven’t seen you in almost a year,
Always saying we should catch up for a beer,
Knowing that it will never occur,
My life continues to be a blur.

I don’t recall what went wrong,
Maybe it was because I wore that sarong,
I think that you started to think,
There was more behind that drink.

My eyes had drifted away,
From my bundle of joy,
To having eyes for a boy.

I didn’t want it to be true,

Was my one and only true hate.
