dont look up.

Contributed by dunk on Monday, 12th July 2004 @ 06:50:53 AM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

when i want to pass an exam, i dont look up,
i revise.

when i want to play a great game of football, i dont look up,
i get stuck in.

if i want to help someone less fortunate, i dont look up,
i give them my hand.

if i want to loose weight, i dont look up,
i do excercise.

if i want to be success, i dont look up,
i work hard.

and would you beleive it... THAT WORKS EVERYTIME!!

if there was a god, im sure he would want me do do all the the above.

why should i pray to make something happen?? i can make anything happen, we can make anything happen.

they say god created man. but homosexuals arent excepted by a large majority of christians. FACT: if there is a god, then HE created homosexuals!

i refuse to follow any religion that contradicts its self. religion for me is a mild form of mental illness. talking to something that isnt there. very similar to a child and his imaginary friend. i do not need to be controlled, told what rules i have to live by, or told where i am going after i die. PRAYING FOR SOMETHING WONT WORK, DOING SOMETHING WILL WORK.
if there is an after life, and i meet god, there will be some harsh words spoken, because if he is real, he's crap at his job.

RELIGION IS FOR THE WEEK. ITS ABOUT TIME THE HUMAN RACE STARTED TO TAKE IT ON THE CHIN AND ACCEPT THAT WHEN YOUR DEAD YOUR DEAD. ITS NOW THAT MATTERS BECAUSE NOW IS REAL.

everybody has an opinion. It's not that we talk to something that isn't there, it's that we have faith in something that MIGHT not even exist. Life after death is a fact. Try to imagine yourself just non-existant. You can't even think of just dissapearing for all eternity, can you? The reason you don't like religion is because you don't understand it. Take a little while to think about how you got here. There is a beginning and there will be an end. No one really knows when or how, but there is and always will be a forbidden faith in God, no matter how many people contridict their religion, and christianity. So respect the beginning, and sit back and wait for the end.

yeah...you're aren't getting something about religion. it isn't for people who want everything. you can't pray for something to happen and just expect it to happen...and if you do you're really stupid. people pray for help, guidance. it's something to comfort them, and you should try to respect that even if you don't follow it.

thinking there is a misunderstanding,

Hey Dunk finally found one of your poems and i like it. very good message in it, maybe you have isired people to work harder. im not very religous but i respect those who are. you never really feel the benfit of achieving somthing if you dont do it on your own. for me religon feels like it robs me of strength. i think thats why i can relate so closey to your poem!.
