Lonely Soul

Once there was a lonely soul
Once it found a love
Just once the love turned away
Then the lonely soul gave up

There is no more use trying
To hide all you feel
Love can not possibly exist
Not when love is death's golden seal

Forget all you feel for her
Forget how she makes you feel
Forget about the good times you had
For your emotions are not real

For if love was existent
Then you would not feel betrayed
You would not forget yourself
You would not feel shamed

Once there was a lonely boy
Once he found a love
Just once his love turned away
Then the lonely boy gave up
